12 Simple Ways to Detox Your Body and Boost Your Testosterone

Detoxing your body from endocrine disruptors is a must for healthy testosterone levels.

If you’re serious about boosting your T levels, it’s critical to detoxify your body. Unfortunately, we can’t avoid endocrine disruptors. But you CAN commit to reducing their impact on your T levels.

Here are some simple ways you can detoxify…

1. Cleanse your liver.

Use this liver detox water recipe: Fresh filtered water, organic lemon juice from full lemon, 3 drops organic oregano oil, and 3 drops colloidal silver. Plus here are a few other liver-supporting foods to consider… Chlorella, found in most health food stores or online, provides vital nutrients and also is excellent at detoxifying. Milk Thistle has long been known to help detoxify the liver thanks to the silymarin it contains. Cilantro, a well-known cooking herb, is useful in reducing liver toxicity. Chelation, long recommended by natural clinicians, chelation helps remove toxic chemicals from the body, including the liver.

2. Cleanse your kidneys.

Eat watermelon, high in the antioxidant lycopene. It’s been proven to protect the endocrine system from toxic damage, thus protecting testosterone levels. Or try one of these Kidney Detox Recipes… (A) Drink a blend of 2 cups watermelon and 1 peeled lime. (B) Drink the juice of 2 carrots and 1 large cucumber using a juicer. or (C) Drink the juice of 1 cup radish, 1 cup purple cabbage and 1 rib celery after running all ingredients through a blender. This recipe also detoxifies the liver and gallbladder.

3. Cleanse your colon.

To cleanse your gut use cascara sagrada, burdock root, psyllium husks, and other fiber-containing plants. Check with your local health food store for recommended colon cleansing products.

4. Drink more water, especially purified water.

Put a water filter on your kitchen faucet and change the filter every 3 months. Water helps flush out unwanted toxins, helps your body function more efficiently, and helps reduce the testosterone killer, cortisol.

5. Eat cruciferous veggies, like broccoli, cauliflower, and cabbage.

Certain compounds in cruciferous vegetables turn the “feminizing” estrogen into a better version. One of the best is indole-3-carbinol (I3C). I3C helps switch the “feminizing” estrogens into neutral or even helpful estrogens such as 2-hydroxyestrone.

Studies published in the Journal of the National Cancer Institute and the Journal of Endocrinology show the ability of I3C to turn the “bad” estrogen into a neutral metabolite. When I3C gets into your stomach, part of it concerts into DIM (diindolylmethane), another “estrogen neutralizer.” Together, I3C and DIM help clear your body of excess estrogen . . . and promote a healthy testosterone-to-estrogen ratio.

6. Reduce your consumption of processed foods.

Processed foods are full of chemicals that have a negative impact on your body, your health, your weight, and your hormone production!

7. Never microwave in plastic bottles, Tupperware, or any plastic containers.

When plastic is microwaved, it releases toxins that are transmitted into your food or drink.

8. Buy juice, milk, water, and other food and beverage products in glass bottles when possible.

9. Eat organic fruits and vegetables. Non-organic produce contains many pesticides with endocrine disruptors.

10. Choose the right fish, meat, and game.

The healthiest alternatives will always be most sustainable: wild-caught fish, grass-fed beef, free-range chickens, and wild game. These foods will not be pumped up with hormones and other chemicals.

11. Ditch health care products with parabens.

This includes shampoos, deodorant, creams, lotions, and other body products. Chemicals in these products have a negative impact on your testosterone levels.

12. Use toxin-free organic household cleaners.

The products that we use in our homes are literally the air that we breathe. Choose household cleaners that are not full of toxins and chemicals. Keep your home clean with clean products.
