Helps to prevent and treat the epidemic of cardiovascular diseases.

Studies have shown that a big benefit of omega-3 fatty acids is that they lower many risk factors leading to cardiovascular disease. In addition, they are linked to decreasing unhealthy levels of triglycerids and cholesterol, as well as lowering blood pressure and reducing the risk of stroke.1 Krill Oil is rich in omega-3’s that are easily absorbed by your body. This means that they can get to work in protecting and mending your cardiovascular system.

Promotes healthy blood sugar levels.

The science is young, but some research suggests that, because of its ability to positively affect blood sugar levels, krill oil could play a role in normalizing blood sugar imbalances. One small, recent study found that patients taking 1-1.5 grams of krill oil saw blood sugar levels drop 6.3 percent — twice as much as those taking 3 grams of fish oil. Another 2013 study of 2,200 men followed for 19 years found that those with the highest blood levels of EPA/DHA had a 33 percent lower risk of getting diabetes.

Better than fish oil for heart health.

According to The Thrill of Krill, “A number of studies have found krill oil to be much more effective than fish oil at reducing blood levels of triglycerides, total cholesterol, and LDL cholesterol.” EPA and DHA – two omega-3 fatty acids in krill oil – have long been shown to lower blood pressure, prevent clotting and abnormal heart rhythm, and slash risk of fatal heart attack. But for improving cholesterol and decreasing triglycerides, research suggests krill oil has an edge over fish oil. One 12-week study published in the journal Alternative Medicine Reviews looked at 120 people with high cholesterol and high triglycerides and found those taking 1.0 g of krill oil per day had twice the reduction in total cholesterol than those taking 3 g of fish oil.2 The krill oil group also saw bad cholesterol and triglyceride levels plummet while the fish oil group saw no significant change.

By taking a daily dose of Krill Oil, you can keep your heart happy, along with many other health benefits.
