  • Neptune Krill Oils

What is the difference between fish oil and krill oil?

Krill oil may be a stronger, more effective way to get your daily omega-3s than fish oil. Krill oil is in phospholipid form, the type of lipid that human cell membranes are composed of. This allows for easy and immediate absorption into the body. Krill oil also contains astaxanthin, a potent antioxidant and carotenoid. Fish oil is generally in triglyceride form, which needs to then be converted to phospholipid form. Some of the beneficial qualities and strength of the fish oil may be diminished during this conversion. Krill oil is the better alternative to fish oil if you are looking for maximum potency, efficacy and purity in your omega-3 supplement.

Is there any fishy taste or fish burps with your krill oil?

No, there is no fishy repeat or fish burps with Krill Oil. Our krill oil is extremely pure and is encapsulated in softgel capsules to limit the incidence of oxidation that may lead to unpleasant taste or decreased efficacy. Along with these features, krill oil is digested lower down in the gastrointestinal tract than fish oil, limiting the chance of fishy repeat, taste or fish burps that ordinary fish oil may cause.

    What is exactly is krill?

Krill are small, shrimp-like crustaceans. They are extremely pure because they are at the bottom of the food chain. Their high omega-3 content comes from their phytoplankton diet, which is naturally high in EPA and DHA. Krill oil’s EPA and DHA are pre-converted and in the highly absorbable phospholipid form. Krill are sourced from the waters of the Antarctic, a pure and uncontaminated body of water. Krill are naturally high in astaxanthin, a powerful antioxidant and carotenoid. Astaxanthin is what gives krill and krill oil its bright red/orange color.

What is the best time of day to take krill oil?

Krill oil can be taken at any time of day. To reduce any risk of digestive upset, take krill oil with a full meal. Some find that taking their krill oil at breakfast is convenient and easy to remember. As long as you are taking your recommended krill oil dosage per day, timing should not be an issue.

    What is DHA?

    What is astaxanthin?

Astaxanthin comes from a unique microalgae (Haematococcus pluvialis) which contains this valuable antioxidant and carotenoid. The krill eat this microalgae, retaining the natural astaxanthin.

Our current batch of KSM-66 lab tests report no heavy metal contamination for Lead, Cadmium, Arsenic and Mercury. Please contact us to request a copy of our current certificate of analysis for our products.

Is this product tested for active ingredients?

Yes, we test for potency of Withanolides, esuring at least 5% or 30mg of Withanolides per serving.

    Is this product vegan?

This product is vegetarian, but not 100% vegan because some small amounts of dairy are used in the extraction of the Ashwagandha root. This is a natural process that aides in the full spectrum extraction, maximizing the active ingredients. Ayurvedic medicine traditionally used Ashwagandha as a powder, mixed with warm milk and honey.

    Does this product contain milk?

In fact, KSM-66 Ashwagandha may contain trace amounts of dairy from traditional ashwagandha extraction methods. The extraction process of KSM-66 Ashwagandha involves pre-treating the roots with small quantities of BSE-TSE-free organic cow milk in accordance with the traditional Ayurvedic practice. For this reason, KSM-66 may contain remnants of milk constituents. This pretreatment is important to the extraction process because it retains both hydrophilic and lipophilic components of the raw ashwagandha root. This in turn creates a full-spectrum extract which maintains the large array of bio-actives found in the raw root and leads to high clinical efficacy. If you are allergic to milk, you should not take this product.

Does your supplement contain testosterone hormone?

No, Herbal-T contains no testosterone hormone. Herbal-T supports men’s ability to produce testosterone naturally.

    Does Herbal T cause acne?

Short answer is that Herbal-T alone will not cause acne, but increased Testosterone levels may create mild acne (see below references). This is why teens get more acne; because their testosterone levels are high during puberty. So, this combined with the feeling of increased energy probably means that your body’s testosterone levels are going up.

The side-effect of acne may be present with any t-booster product you choose if it’s truly working. Reducing stress and sugar intake have been known to help reduce acne.

There is a high likelihood that when taking testosterone supplements the body will adjust to higher testosterone levels and the acne will go away after some time. If your acne starts to get worse, stop taking Herbal-T or reduce to 1 capsule per day. We recommend continuing taking Herbal-T through 1 bottle (30 days) and see then how you feel and how your acne is then.
